Sam + Gavin's Wedding at Chapel Hill Retreat | Blue Mountains Wedding
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to coordinate Sam + Gavin's Wedding in the gorgeous town of Berambing hidden in the Blue Mountains.
Sam + Gavin tied the knot in the presence of their family and friends at Chapel Hill Retreat. A gorgeous wedding venue located on 35 acres, surrounded by bushland and overlooking the Blue Mountains - it seemed the perfect venue for Sam + Gavin.
When I first met with Sam she was one organised bride! She brought her wedding folder to our initial consultation which included all the things related to her wedding neatly labeled and filed away. Although Sam had always mentioned she was an organised bride I was quite impressed by her wedding organisational skills!
The wedding was Scottish themed to tie in and acknowledge Gavin's Scottish background. The day well and truly turned out very Scottish, the weather was a typical cold and misty day.
We arrived on site at 9am and finalised the reception room décor, table seating and placement of their wedding favours. We went around to each and every setting to straighten and ensure the room was absolutely perfect! We liaised with the vendors on the day as there were a few last minute logistical changes which had to be sorted out to ensure that the day ran smoothly.
The day started with a light drizzle which then led to the ceremony location being changed last minute. Emily Jean Events coordinated the ceremony change with ease so the wedded couple didn't have to stress about a thing!
Before we knew it we were coordinating the ceremony procession and briefing Sam and the wedding party on the walk down the aisle. I still remember the look on Sam's face when she was walking down the isle focusing on Gavin and tilting her head to the side as the bagpipes played in the background.
After the ceremony, Sam + Gavin had a group photograph taken from the balcony and they headed off for their photoshoot around the Chapel Hill property with their photographer Krystal Dempsey from Clarity Photography.
Sam + Gavin's wedding was filled with love, one of the most important things to the couple, and if I recall correctly Gavin's only job was to organise a 'LOVE' light up letter sign which he had done a fabulous job of!
The reception was one of the highlights of the night. Sam + Gavin spent their first meal as husband and wife at their own King and Quean bridal table while their wedding party joined the guests.
Following entrée, there were some very beautiful heartfelt speeches from the step father of the bride, the bridesmaid and the groomsmen. After the main meal was served Sam + Gavin cut the cake which was made by a close friend of Sam's and continued the second lot of speeches from The father of the bride and Sam + Gavin themselves.
Shortly after, the moment everyone was waiting for that night, Sam + Gavin had their first dance to the song Turning Page followed by the two father daughter dances.
All too soon it was time for Sam to throw her bouquet and get ready for their Sparkler tunnel departure and head into the world as husband and wife.
It was a true honor to be able to be a part of Sam + Gavin's wedding, not just on the day but in the leadup to the event supporting the couple with wedding related stress and jumping in to follow up with vendors on their behalf.
It's always a beautiful thing to witness the marriage of two individuals and being part of the day and acting as a support system to the couple.
