Q+A with Emily - Managing Director of Emily Jean Events

We recently sat down with Emily, the Managing Director of Emily Jean Events, for a 2020 overview. Here's what Emily had to say about the rollercoaster of the year!

Emily, how has 2020 been for you?

It's been a very interesting year! 2020 was very quiet from March onwards, but we've had a lot of weddings and events rescheduled for 2021 and 2022. I had a lot of ups and downs in 2020 but I'm also grateful of what the year has given me! I was forced to take time off and slow down for a bit and learnt to really appreciate life.

How did you spend quarantine?

I spent 3 months of quarantine with my family in Orange NSW. It was great because I got to spend so much time with my family and my cat! I spent most of my time cooking and baking and learning new skills!

How are things looking for 2021?

We are still operating and planning events! We currently have bookings for 2021 and 2022, both years are getting booked so quickly so I would encourage everyone to get in and secure their date. We have tailored packages available to suit each client if our set package are not suitable.

What should we expect looking forward into 2021 and beyond?

The wedding and events industry was one of the hardest hit industry's with COVID-19. Wedding and events were postponed or cancelled and pushed back to 2021 and 2022! It is predicted that 2022 is going to be the busiest year for weddings and events, we recently got a report from Easy Weddings which shows the massive pickup in weddings for 2022 and beyond. It's going to be a crazy year, so I would encourage everyone to book in their wedding planner, day of coordinator and suppliers now before it's too late! We understand your frustrations, planning a wedding or event during COVID is very unusual territory for everyone! We are here to help and create a stress free process and ensure your wedding is COVID safe!
